practical acts of service that make a tangible difference in the safety and
wellbeing of concertgoers.
One of the most iconic symbols of Red Frogs, the humble red lolly, has
become a powerful tool for connection and care with churches and secular
organisations alike. What starts as a simple offering often opens doors
for deeper support, guidance, and encouragement. This year, over 4,500
volunteers from more than 350 churches across the country contributed
their time to serve their local communities, reinforcing the strength and
reach of the Red Frogs network.
In addition to concerts, Red Frogs teams were active across a wide range
of sporting events including cricket matches, LIV Golf, soccer games,
and NRL, rugby, and AFL events. These engagements continue to be key
platforms for connecting with young people in high-risk environments.
Schoolies Week 2024 marked the most robust activation since the
COVID-19 pandemic. More than 1,300 volunteers were deployed
across 14 locations in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western
Australia, and internationally in Bali and Fiji. This year’s Schoolies
celebrations also reflected a growing decentralisation, allowing local
churches to step up and serve their communities in increasingly diverse
locations. Partnerships with government agencies, emergency services,
and local businesses have been critical in enabling this vital work to
continue and expand.
Organisational growth was also evident with the appointment of new state
leaders in Western Australia and Tasmania, ensuring that local expressions
of Red Frogs are supported and led by passionate, equipped leaders.
While traditional music festivals have declined in recent years due to
cost pressures, Red Frogs experienced a surge in concert-related activity
in 2024. The organisation partnered with major concert promoters to
