LOGAN TREE FARM RECOVERY –
BEENLEIGH, QLD
In the heart of Beenleigh, the Logan Tree
Farm faced devastation as over six feet
of floodwaters swept through, blanketing
the entire property in thick silt and mud.
Thousands of trees were at risk.
Global Care quickly mobilised:

PALM ISLAND & TOWNSVILLE
When severe storms struck the Gold Coast,
elderly and vulnerable residents were left
overwhelmed by debris and damage.
Tropical weather systems brought widespread
flooding to North Queensland, affecting
thousands of lives.
In partnership with the City of Gold Coast,
Global Care stepped in to assist:
Global Care responded with compassion and
coordination:

Deploying mobile water tanks and pumps
to begin recovery
•
Cleaning and making safe 68 affected
properties
•
Conducting mud-outs, food and clothing
distribution, and pastoral care
•
Initiating an extensive wash-down
operation to save the trees
•
Mobilising 48 volunteers
•
•
Logging over 544 hours of volunteer work
Focusing support on families, Indigenous
communities, and displaced residents
•
Filling 44 Flexi skip bags with storm
debris
•
•
Removing 4.8 tonnes of green waste
Partnering with Life Church Ingham and
Empower Church Innisfail to deliver
locally coordinated aid
•
Restoring irrigation systems to support
long-term recovery
•
Engaging dedicated local volunteers for a
massive clean-up effort
This project remains active, with recovery
steadily progressing thanks to tireless
community support.
